Zombie Skater
Hello, this time i bring to you the zombie skater!
I wanted to make a cool character using the handpainted
technique. For this project ive used Blender, Substance Painter,
Krita and InDesign for the presentation.
Fun fact: the brand on his cap is called "drop dead" and
was purely accidental, i realised much later that it fits with the
character :D. I hope you like it
A simple briefing and some references that guided me through the design process. I've took inspiration from Paranorman, Regular Show, Scooby Doo, and other cartoons, even Gorillaz music videos.
These were my first sketches on paper. I wanted to take a cliche character, a zombie, and give him a silly and cool twist.
Some of the explorations trying to find a good silhouette.
I almost chose the one with brown pants and white tshirt. In the end i thought the striped purple and yellow shoes made a better combination with his green skin.
